Why does my artwork need to be re-drawn if it's not supplied in the right format?
If a poor quality artwork file is submitted and used to print from the result would be a "rough" print job. Obviously this is not acceptable so we would advise that the poor quality image would have to be re-drawn and converted to high quality vector format artwork.
Why are jpeg files unacceptable as artwork?
Because they are low resolution bitmaps intended mainly for viewing on-screen, i.e. the internet, and are too poor quality to print from.
Why are bromides unacceptable as artwork?
Because instead of going straight to film we would have to scan the logo and "touch-up" the artwork where necessary. A laser copy is not a bromide.
Is there an Express Charge for a Rush Order with a shorter lead-time?
There may be a Rush Order Surcharge dependant upon workload.
Golf balls cannot be dispatched immediately after printing- Why?
Golf Balls are printed with a two part ink. They cannot be dispatched as soon as they have been printed as they need time to cure properly. Curing is the evaporation of the solvents used in the ink and a chemical reaction between the ink and the hardener. After proper and thorough drying time the print on the balls can withstand rubbing and scratching and is resistant to a large number of chemical products, oils, greases and solvents. In order for the best look to be achieved on the golf balls, and for their durability when being used, printed balls need to dry for approximately 3-4 days.
How long will the ink stay on a golf ball?
Some people are under the misapprehension that the print is guaranteed to stay on golf balls for eighteen holes. This is not true as golf balls come into contact with sand with is an abrasive and soil which could possibly scratch the logo from the ball.
Is Dunlop Revelation the only golf ball available in golf ball gift packs such as BT1 or GB1?
Golf ball upgrades are available for an additional charge per item.

Jpegs of all our products are available to download from our website, alternatively you can request a CD from ourselves which also contains product templates and hi-res graphics.
What are the artwork requirements?
All artwork must be vector based and supplied on e-mail, floppy disk or CD (not zip disk) compatible in any of the following formats:
PC: Illustrator 10, Corel Draw 9
Mac : Illustrator 6
Any artwork not supplied in one of the above formats will be charged at the standard artwork rate of £20.00 per hour.
